The Flex500 is an industrial control platform designed to control and protect a steam turbine, gasturbine, engine or compressor. It is programmed using Woodward GAP (Programming license required) and compatible with Woodward CAN based distributed I/O Modules (RTCNet/Linknet-HT).
The front panel mounted model has a user interface that can be programmed with Control Interface Studio (Programming license required). Models are available for use in hazardous and/or marine locations.
The Flex500 can be customized to any application by one of our experts. Various standard algorithms are available for compressor anti-surge, steam turbine, gas turbine and engine control. The GAP based software can be fully tested on any desktop PC using Woodward Netsim and a custom made model of your application.
